Children’s Ministry

Every child needs to grow up learning the Bible, so they can develop their own personal relationship with God. They need a deep understanding that God loves them and that He has a plan for their lives. They need the security of knowing that heaven is their eternal home.  They need a safe, loving environment conducive to spiritual learning.  At Lakeside, we understand that children are the heritage of the Lord and are endeavoring to reach their hearts so they personally embrace the truth.

Our year-round Children’s program (10:00a) features music, Bible teaching, lesson-driven games, and more.  Childcare is also provided for infants through toddlers.

Our nursery leaders and volunteers strive to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for the children. Nursery care is provided during the Worship Service and Sunday Growth Groups.

Awana Club, a nation-wide program for children, meets on Wednesdays (May-Sept) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM for kids age 3 through 6th grade.  Awana focuses on discipleship and Scripture memory, which stays with kids the rest of their lives.  Every week the children play team games, learn from challenging messages, and recite verses from their handbooks.  For more information about Lakeside’s Awana Club in Peoria, click here.
